Take Justice Back Turns 1

A year ago this week, the American Association for Justice launched Take Justice Back. The aim of the campaign is simple – to help protect the civil justice system as well as the rights of Americans. When corporations act irresponsibly, they must be held accountable just like anybody else.

Over the past year, Take Justice Back has highlighted the issues threatening civil justice, told stories of Americans across the country who’ve suffered as a result of preventable medical errors and corporate greed and kept you informed on the decisions being made on Capitol Hill that would directly impact your rights and access to justice.

In addition, Take Justice Back has provided activism opportunities for the fight for generic drug accountability and the effort to end forced arbitration, among others. Just this week, a change.org petition was launched to send a message to the FDA that both brand name and generic drug manufacturers should be accountable for the safety of their products. The petition garnered over 20,000 signatures in less than 48 hours.

As the campaign continues to grow, we’ll continue to help make the case for a strong civil justice system and be the voice of the victims.  And Remember:   If no one is accountable, no one is safe.
